Introduction
Due to the recent outbreak of an unknown infectious disease that has already killed 11 people, the CDC must conduct an investigation to find out more information. So far, the CDC has narrowed down the potential vector to three species. Two of the species are ticks: Ornithodoros coriaceus and Ixodes pacificus. The third species is a mosquito: Aedes vexans. The accurate use and placement of traps will allow the CDC to catch the potential vectors and narrow down the options.
Traps and Trap Locations
The following table lists all patients and their possible infection sites. These infection sites are also where the traps will be placed since this is the most likely place to catch the vector. Some of the patients have been grouped together because it is believed that they contracted the infection in the same location. To see the reasoning behind the grouping of patients please see the "Patient" tab at the top of the screen.

Image 1.2 Geographical Representation of Trap Locations
NOTE: Three different trapping methods will be used at each location since the three potential vectors still need to be narrowed down to one. The potential vectors include both ticks and mosquitoes: Ornithodoros coriaceus, Ixodes pacificus, and Aedes vexans.
